Mitral Regurgitation in Coronary Artery
نویسنده
چکیده
Over a period of 5.25 years, 1,530 patients rritb cotonary artery disease (CAD) underwent catheterization; 104 bad associated mitral regurgitation (MR), and 60 had no complicrtions. Twelve patients underwent coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG), with both preand postoperative Pagiogrrurra Nine of the 12 patients (75 percent) were in functional d9tss 3 or 4. Left ventricdar ejection fraction ranged from 34 to 75. The MR was considered seven (3+) in three, moderate (2+) in six, and trivial (I+) in three patients. Following CABG, an except two patients wen in class 1. Of the 43 patients medically treated, 31 patients (72 percent)

Introdution: Ischemic mitral regurgitation (IMR) remains one of the most complex and unresolved aspects of ischemic heart disease that the impact of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) on improvement of intensity of ischemic mitral regurgitation is not well clarified. Patients with coronary artery diseases and ischemic mitral regurgitation have a worse prognosis than the patients with coro...
متن کاملPossible Effect of CABG on Moderate Mitral Regurgitation
Introduction: Mitral valve insufficiency in adults is often a complication of ischemic heart disease. Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) is performed as a strategy for the treatment of coronary artery disease. The aim of this study was to evaluate mitral regurgitation (MR) before and after CABG. Materials and Methods: This Experimental study was condu...
متن کاملHigh-risk Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting and Mitral Valve Replacement in a HIV Positive Patient
Certain subsets of high-risk mitral valve patients are not suitable candidates for transcatheter therapies. The objective of this report is to present a young patient with combined mitral valve and coronary artery disease to illustrate these challenges. In this report, we present a 47-year-old man with longstanding HIV infection who was referred with severe mitral regurgitation (MR) and profound...
متن کاملRight sided heart evaluation after successful mitral valve replacement.
Introduction: It is well-documented that right-sided heart dysfunction and significant tricuspid valve regurgitation (TVR) have adverse effects on patient outcomes after left-sided heart valve surgery. Therefore, the evaluation of right ventriclular (RV) function and TR severity in patients who had undergone mitral valve replacement (MVR), associated with/without concomitant su...
متن کاملSurgical management of functional mitral regurgitation in heart failure patients
Relevant secondary mitral regurgitation occurs in 35– 50% of patients with chronic heart failure and is associated with increased mortality. Surgical management of patients with mitral valve regurgitation and heart failure remains controversial. There are several questions which are not sufficiently clarified because of a lack of prospective randomised controlled trials: (1.) The indication for...
متن کاملA rare case of ALCAPA and rheumatic mitral valve regurgitation in an adult patient.
Anomalous origin of the left coronary artery from the pulmonary artery (ALCAPA) is a rare congenital coronary artery defect leading to sudden cardiac death. Diagnosis is made after the onset of symptoms, mainly in the pediatric population. We describe an uncommon presentation of ALCAPA and rheumatic mitral valve regurgitation, diagnosed by a coronary 64-CT scan performed before a planned mitral...
